Thanks Jim. That's what i was thinking. On the OP post it wasn't possible to copy but on regular posts / emails it is. I suspect Verizon as well

These sound like problems more likely to be with the application than the operating system (particularly since they don't seem to occur for most folks using other mail apps in the same version of iOS).

In other words, the Verizon app, not iOS 9.x
