[iPad] Re: How to "Downgrade" to Earlier Operating System?

I am using Safari to go to mail.verizon.com.  Have done this for four years.  In iOS 7 it worked fine.  In iOS 9 it does not (see my earlier message).  This morning I downloaded Firefox and Chrome for the iPad but they do not work any better in these respects.

I do not use "Mail."  Among other problems, it does not sync with my computer (Mac).  If I delete a message on one device, it is not deleted on the other.

Also I tried two Verizon apps but both required my Verizon wireless number; I do not have one (connect via DSL).  I chatted with two Verizon reps but they could not suggest anything better.

Any help would be welcome.  I will be traveling soon and will have only the iPad for email, so it would be helpful to have a way that works well.  adTHANKSvance!

In iOS 9 if I expand the message window and try to scroll, the entire Verizon window goes up or down; the message may scroll a little but it is not nearly as easy to read as it was in iOS 7.
