On your iPad, you can select photos to add to albums that you have already created or you can create a new album.  You cannot add to albums that are created by the system.

If i remember correctly ylu can't add to those albums. You can take all the photos from one album and create a new one and add to that new album me thinks as a workaround.

On my iPad Pro I tried to add a photo to an album (which was created long ago) and all the albums were grayed out except "create a new album". Anybody know what's going on?
