Re: [iPad] Re: Want to use this keyboard with my Mom 12.9" iPad Pro via Bluetooth reciever

I am looking for a Bluetooth receiver that mates with a traditional USB keyboard. I am aware of modifier key issues. I understand this device is not correct for my needs sending it was a mistake. Busy day when I sent and my mistake.

I do not want a different keyboard for my Mom unless I cannot find a device that makes a regular keyboard like this discover-able by USB. The same KIND OF THING that is available for headphones may be available for USB devices.

Much to my surprise keyboards like this work fine with an Android as do USB mice when one has a hub (hubs, keyboard, disk drive, mouse all worked fine with Google tablets).

I am aware I am looking for an edge case device that few will need but given my Mom's long bout with Parkinsons identical keyboard on Win Machine and iPad are best if it can be accomplished.

I'm afraid that this combination of a USB keyboard and a Bluetooth adapter won't work.

This Bluetooth receiver seems equivalent to the one that I have for streaming sound from my mobile devices to my home stereo.

As far as I can see, you (Myrddin) would want a Bluetooth keyboard for the Parkinson patient.

Besides, keyboards differ among operating systems targeted in their modifier keys. A Windows key is useless for an iPad, a Home Screen key (that may be present on a keyboard for iOS) is useless for Windows.

You could consider something like the Logitech K760. It has many and large keys. I just verified that it works with an iPad.

is out there but it is very low rated. Something like this but not of low quality.

This way she can use same keyboard she uses in Windows. This is easier than n screen keyboard for her given her Parkinsons and the fact she uses same keyboard with Windows.

I did not find a Bluetooth receiver that can be used with a USB keyboard, does anyone know of any?

I am building a special table/tray for her so she can text the relatives and grand kids and nieces and nephews and their kids.

Believe it or not the iPad 10" is a little small for her eyes and hands with her Parkinson's (over 15 years very advanced).
