Re: [iPad] How to "Downgrade" to Earlier Operating System?

Verizon email is POP and here is a site showing what the settings should look like on various devices:

My search found several references to "Verizon refuses to do IMAP".

Nevertheless, I also found this:
Below are the POP3 IMAP incoming and SMTP outgoing mail servers and news server for Verizon Internet Service Provider, and instructions on Authenticating your Verizon email accounts.

• Verizon POP incoming mail server: pop.verizon.net
• Verizon POP Port: 995
• Verizon POP SSL: Enabled
• Verizon IMAP incoming mail server: incoming.verizon.net
• Verizon SMTP outgoing mail server: smtp.verizon.net
• Verizon SMTP Port: 465 with SSL preferred (or 587 with TLS)
• Verizon SMTP SSL: Enabled
• Verizon WIRELESS outgoing mail server: smtp.vzwmail.net
• Verizon NEWS server: news.verizon.net
Accessing Email from your Domains with your ISP

If you have POP3 email accounts with your own domain, you typically retrieve your email using your domain's incoming mail server, and you send email using your ISPs outgoing mail server.

• incoming: www.yourdomain or mail.yourdomain
Authenticate your Verizon Account Name and Password

• Go to Tools - Accounts
• Click on the "Mail" tab
• Click on your account then on the "Properties" button
• Click on the "Server" tab
• At the bottom, check the "My Server Requires Authentication" box
• Click the "Settings" button
• Click the "Log On Using" radio button
• Enter your VERIZON ACCOUNT NAME AND PASSWORD here
• Click Ok, Ok, Close
These settings can be used to setup email on your desktop and smartphone devices.
