i gave britney the top 2 videos of all time this week. even though i love nsync backstreet new kids and 98 degrees. they are great. handsome. yet britney did "hit me baby one more time" one of the best videos of all time and "oops i did it again" which launched the britney revolution. a totally unique sound. boy bands are the runners up this time. nsync did the greatest video for "bye bye bye". no strings attached. "tearin up my heart" took us to the upper reaches of the vocal register again. tell everybody "backstreet's back in town". another a mega hit from the boy bands. mega sound. yet it could be that new kids started it all with just vocals and choreogrphy with "i wanna be loved by you" reciting "hi i'm danny and i'm a taurus" and "i'm jon and i'm a sagittarius " and other fabulously romantic lyrics. could be even duran duran was a boy band.

new programming ideas for digital television

britney is definitely the breakthrough artist for music television. with "oops" and "hit me" we encounter songs written just for the new medium and videos designed just for mtv. choreography to die for. a real breakthrough.as different as anything. definitely written designed for the mtv audience. and it works. #1 all the time. is it possible for britney to follow britney again? yet another mega hit? something so huge and popular we have to watch mtv every day just to see it. still watching. mtv. old news. new is the internet. something new from britney just for the new medium? britney would like to make a real digital music video. just for the internet and new digital media. "valleylist" anybody? or everybody? a new song. a new video. or something new just for digital television from backstreet or nsync. just for today's digital music television [mtv]. these are very exciting artist.
