IMO, they would do well to even get a small netbook. They could use the netbook for iTunes and the iPad, chiefly using the iPad, but backing up their apps/music, books etc onto the netbook.
It would be another $300, but they could do that and get a 32GB iPad for fun.

She lives at a distance from me & I'm wondering if there is any way a person could maintain an iPad if they don't own a computer. Any ideas? She seemed to catch on to using the iPad very quickly. Thanks for any suggestions.
