David, of course I haven't backed up my iPad! That would make life too easy, lol! A forced purge hurts, but I can adjust.

(pressing both theOn/Off button and the Home button at the same time, and holding them down until the Apple logo appears)
Burping seemed like a far-fetched resort, I found on YouTube, basically you put the iPad facedown on your thigh and burp it like a baby! Hey, I'll try anything!
Sounds like I may be in the market for a new iPad. I like the mini. Any recommendations?
