I ended up emailing the pdf's to myself and then opening them and saving to iBooks (as the article Patricia referred me to suggested.
Was acyually hoping not to have to do it this way...was hoping to just open the pdf from one drive than save it that way...but alas...as I am learning the IPad is not a windoz so i guess I can live with it this way for now....such is life right???? *grin*
