We have a year old HP laptop that we bought through Costco so we could get an extra year's warranty and their "Concierge" service.
Only problem has been with the volume control setting - It sometimes will keep popping up intermittently - seemingly when the machine has been on for a long time and gets warm. (At least that was the diagnosis when I tried to diagnose the problem thru web surfing. There were some suggestions for adjusting settings in the registry(?) but I didn't want to mess with that.

I have a 3 year HP Laptop that has given me ZERO problems. We also have a Toshiba laptop, Windows 7 that has been trouble free. Never understood why some folks have to trash other brands of computers. I own a Iphone, I've got a Ipad on order and two Windows laptops. Love em all.
