This does not sound good for the iPhone.

Call block for instance...   I've heard that developers don't have access to that part of the design area.  (I'm not technical enough to use the correct words).

I came from a Palm platform a few years ago before converting to the iPhone.  I was very disappointed that I couldn't send a caller into oblivion just by setting their contact information to do so.  I remember having the choice to "Pick up and hang up" which never allowed the person to leave a message, or to "block" the call which left the caller with a dead line every time they called. I was even able to block by wildcard characters.  if the number was 1-800, 1-866, 1-877, etc There is nothing compatible to this feature with the iPhone.   Even the Android phones have a choice when setting up a contact to block the number immediately.

The most I can do with my iphone is to set a silent ringtone, I'm used to the phone not even RINGING when I want to block a number.
