I have thousands of pictures - I dreaded the idea that the IPad would arbitrarily upload sync and upload them from my computer!
Much better to create one folder for them and assign that.
If I want to show people pictures on the iPad I will go online to one of my photo storage accounts.
I just noticed that I have three pdf files listed when I go to the Adobe Reader app in my Droid 2 phone - I guess the phone automatically saves every pdf file that you look at? Don't see any option to delete them singly. Only to "clear recent files".
Hummm....sorry about that - not iPad related, but maybe there's a techie here who'll know what to do.

On the PC you need to create a single folder and place the pictures you
want to sync in that single folder -- you can't simply browse to
different folders and select individual pictures from different folders.
I wonder why they did it that way -- I can browse to load things into
lots of different apps from different folders, but not photos. At least
not using the built-in Photo app -- I wonder if there are other apps
which let me load any pictures I want to, much like I can with other
files such as PDFs and ePubs.
Hmm -- I'll have to investigate that.
