I do not have the Console. My Mini is a 2013 Clubman. I plug in to an auxiliary jack for power and have to use a cable to connect to my car speakers. In iOS 11 I was able to use Bluetooth and listen to music through the car stereo. iOS 12 won't let me. iPhone SE sees the car Bluetooth but won't connect.
Did you and are you able to upgrade to Sync 3?
