I did both things before that you mentioned. Tried it again. Did not work. I originally had equal split screens. Now, I have split screens, but the right side is smaller, with black on the right side (right screen). This screen is also white & looks like it couldn't load up the site. Frozen. I hit a lot of things to try to get rid of the split screen. I can get 1 full screen if I turn my ipad air 2 vertical, but not horizontal.

To exit out of Split View on iPad you have two choices, you can do either of the following:

  • Tap and drag on the vertical line separating the split screen apps again and drag it all the way to the right, effectively closing the second app
  • OR, hit the Home button on the iPad to exit both apps from split screen view
