gotcha. understood. its the same for me. the three frustratingly difficult times i used the windows GUI (XP)i have been stymied and loudly reminded myself of why i dont use windows. i know many many graphic designers and publishers who feel the same way. in fact i know no magazine publisher or graphic designer locally who prefers windows.

My one (required) experience with Mac was that it was not all that
intuitive. I had a rented (original) Mac w/ no instructions or anything,
just the (Mac-only) s/w I needed to use for a particular course -- & figure
out how to install to start with! I'd been using personal computers for 15
years at the time, under several different architectures & operating
systems (this was in the early 90's) but that "intuitive" interface was hard
to figure out.
That Mac reminded me of why I hadn't gotten one when they first came out
& I liked the look of them very much, thought it'd be fun -- the lack of
cursor
keys nearly drove me nuts for three months; I'd been right not to get into
that Back When! especially not being an artistic type but doing things more
text-oriented. (a lot of typists felt the same way)
