It is the system they have chosen. One is not better than the other, just depends on your (or the company's) needs. Probably they use proprietary software and have a developer on staff that develops BB apps and not iPhone apps. Or they started using BB before the iPhone came out and saw no reason to switch. BB has an Enterprise service specifically for businesses. I'm sure Apple has the same for iPhone, but the company has to make a choice. Each company has their own specific reasons.
