Re: [iPad] iPhone with and iPad2 ?

The first "personal digital assistant" (PDA) I bought was the HP 200LX "palmtop" computer. In the early '90's, it had a fully useable keyboard, and a CGA-resolution grey-scale screen; it fit in your pocket, and it ran for a week on two AA rechargeable batteries. It had no cellular, GPS, gyroscope, compass, etc., but it was a fully functional, instant-on, IBM XT-clone computer.

At the time, it was said that, "The advantage of a laptop is that you can take it wherever you go. The advantage of a PALMtop computer is that you WILL take it wherever you go."

Much the same thing can be said of the difference between the iPad and the iPhone. The only times I don't have the iPhone with me is in the shower in the evening, and in the bathroom in the morning before I get dressed.

The iPad is *definitely* not as ubiquitous.
