I'm sitting on the floor in the shopping center. I estimate roughly 200 persons arrived before I did. In fact, I'm sitting in the second "waiting lot", you might call it. The first "waiting lot" has couches and chairs. Around me, I see only one other woman with an iPad. People read quietly or listen to music or both, lots of them with folding chairs (here I thought I would look ridiculous with mine ha!). There's a hot spot where I am, not the one from the Apple Store, we're not 'that' close. I'll wait. Trying to decide on second and third choices. My first choice is a 16 Gig 3G, white, with a pink Smart Cover. If I can't get what I want, particularly if I have to settle for a more exensive model, I'll buy it and sell it when I come back from Paris. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to sell easily, and I will order my first choice online. But now, I need the new model for the trip.
An employee makes rounds to reassure people. Somebody asks, you would tell us if you're already out of stock, would you? The employee smiles and says, don't worry, we are amply stocked. She even says that other employees are going around to check what people want.
