Granted, Canada is not the US.
Still and all, I'd like to hear about people from this group who bought an iPad2 on the first day of sale at an AppleStore (tomorrow is D-Day for us here).
Specifically, at what time did you go to the Store if you stood in line before 5, how long was the line. If you waited after the first rush, what time did you go and were you able to get the model of your choice?
See, I'm leaving for Paris next Tuesday and I'm planning to use my new and shiny iPad2 WITH CAMERAS during my trip (though if I have to, sigh ;-)), I'll rely on Old Faithful iPad1 and my little Canon point-and-shoot). Hubby says I'm overly optimistic.
From inquiries made through a Parisian friend, it seems there should be no trouble purchasing and activating a SIM card from the SFR operator, in an SFR store, in Paris, to access their 3G network with no roaming charges, an absolute must for me. (Doing so in the US was a world of trouble, as AT&T required a credit card with a US address. I'll let you know.)
