Google day mode if any of the usual rebooting a and attaching to iTunes via cable doesn't work.

At least I think it it.  Here's what I did.  Updated iTunes to the latest, then plugged my iPad into my PC.  Downloaded the update for the iPad.  Backed up my iPad to my computer.  Ran the update.  I noticed that at the top center of the iTunes screen it said "waiting for iPad" during most of the update process. I didn't know if that was normal or not.   At the end, I got an error (4003 I think, but it might have been 4005), and when I clicked the details button, this page opened:
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275

but nothing there seems possible because my iPad just has a picture of a USA cable and an arrow pointing to the iTunes logo.  When I check iTunes, it doesn't recognize my iPad, so a restore to the backup I made doesn't seem possible.

I have held down the home button and on/off button on the iPad till I see the apple logo, but when I restart it, I'm back to the graphic of the USB cable and the arrow pointing to the iTunes logo.

Has anyone seen this before, or have any ideas of what I can do?

Thanks!

Linda
