True, tapping on a photo gives it a black background but the other views such as album, photo stream etc are on white.

Odd, I took a black photo, changed wallpaper and the photos background is still whilteResolved it. The photos are on a white backgound, some may prefer that when viewing and scrolling. Tap a photo and the background changes to black and you can view and scroll that wayTonyNZ(Miffed about the Americas Cup this morning)
