If it is set to sync auto then why do you have to synch a second time to get the music loaded? I don't the manual very intuitive either.

By the way, you can find the iPad users guide in Safari by clicking on bookmarks (the icon at the right of the URL bar that looks like an open book) and choosing iPad users guide.

Open the photos in the thumbnail mode. Tap the options button (the box with the arrow). Tap each picture you want to email and a blue check will appear on the picture.

Tap email button and send the email as usual.
