Re: [iPad] iPhone timeout

Actually fragmentation is a problem with the android ecosystem. Not really one of the Apple iOS ecosystem. The vast majority (usually around %80 if i remember correctly) of iOS devices get upgraded in a few months to the latest iOS. Compared with about %30 of android devices after a year. My iPhone 5 from about five years ago is on the latest patched iOS. What percentage of 5 year old android devices are on the latest google flavored ice cream (nougat now I believe)?? %5? Anyway. iPhones are a single ecosystem that's easy to upgrade. The other guys not so much.

Oh, yeah.

There are so many iPhones out there that glitches are probably ignored - or at least back-burnered - by Apple unless many users - or the media - complain.  That's life.

Have you upgraded to the most recent?

My 6+ has been timing out (settings, display and brightness, auto-lock) at either 30 or 60 seconds, although I've had it set at both 2 and 5 minutes. I finally turned auto-lock off and all's well. But now I have to turn off the screen manually after every use.

Low Power is off. Battery has a good charge.

Anyone else have something like this? I've considered wiping memory and re-loading everything from scratch, but that's an awfully big time sink, and I'll probably not do it.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?
