I know 3 WP ppl. One switched to droid. One switched to iPhone. One stayed and can't get pics unless it's from other WP devices.
It's very probable that there are strong socioeconomic and other factors at play creating regional leanings. Not that I have a clue as to what they are....

Here in NZ WP is quite strong, in South America it is apprently very strong. The numbers you mock are due to its late to the party arrival, the phone and OS arer very good, and I know many Androiders at my workplace, a Telco, that have switched and also on my NZ geek and non geek forum. Yes its teeny, but for its hardware and OS its very relevant, the late arrival will make it that much harder given that Apple and Google have already settled. I see Androids coolness and openness fading.
