The following 3 stimple steps will allow you to open Sony Reader files, PDF files, etc on your iPad.
on the iPad install the following apps
#1 "Bluefire Reader"
#2 "DropBox"
On your computer
#3 install "DropBox"
To use, drop a file into the DropBox on your CPU. These can be almost any type of file. Open DropBox on your iPad , then select the file you want to open by clicking it. One of two things will happen.
Either it will not open and display a can't open message. Up in the upper right corner is an arrow similar to the arrow in the mail program. Click on the arrow and select the program you want to use from the drop down.
If it opens in DropBox, you still can open the file in your chosen app using the drop down.
Sony reader files will open in Bluefire Reader.

Sony is supposed to be coming out with an ipad App this month, so I wouldn't spend too much time on it.
