I agree with the other guys: if you are reading a guide to software, it can only be useful for what it does say, not what it omits.

Payola? The system isn't organized at all; when a company decides to make a 'guide' of any kind, they are using their own efforts and experience.
I doubt most of them even contacted any of the publishers; it's too much work.
