Maybe mentioned earlier, another option, but not as pretty. Memory
cards are small and have become inexpensive, I find it easy to carry
several. May copy photos to the iPad or another computer to view, but
leave on the memory card as a backup.
==============
I started this question series, and I don't have access to my Mac compute for another two weeks. This is the first time that I am using just my iPad to back up pictures that I am taking. I also have a number of photo related video podcasts that I just learned how to delete this morning. They also take up a lot of memory.
It does get quite tempting to treat the iPad just like a computer and expect it to have gobs of space. Rerslity is that I only have a 64G tablet and you have to be choosy about what to save and what to toss when you don't have access to your iTunes account.
Thanks to all who helped me with my questions. I know have a fair amount of memory for my pictures and know how to dump things that I am not using and get wait until I rre-unite with my itunees account.
Cheers,
Mary ellyn
