Actually, my use for Pages and Numbers on the iPad is pretty much only as a better way to view and review a certain small number of files from my Mac.
At present I have 8 Numbers files and 7 Pages files on the iPad, so finding things by scrolling through all of them is easy.
I do not know of any good way to search for one of these docs.
At a minimum, Apple should make them searchable via Spotlight.
