Re: [iPad] Re: Mail Client

Apart from the four mail apps that I mentioned earlier (AirMail, CloudMagic, Mail, Outlook - I forgot Unibox), I also use Gmail (my main account) using web mail (in Chrome under Windows, in Chromium under Linux, occasionally in Safari under iOS and OS X).
My need for that use in Safari may have gone now, as I have just configured Contacts Sync for Google Gmail (under both iOS and OS X).

I have Mail (and other clients if possible) set to always BCC me, and I generally verify that I do BCC myself. So I tend to have proof of sending.

Remarks:

I have found that Mail for iOS, when invoked by another app, sometimes leaves my messages in the Outbox, maybe depending on whether it has already polled my accounts during that session. Irritating!

CloudMagic for iOS still has a bug that may moved messages back into the Inbox. CloudMagic for OS X clumsily updates its indexes (I think) when catching up. Irritating!

I treat Unibox more like a viewer than a mail client. Unfair!

Due to travel and various platforms available at destinations, I have been using web-based email over 25 years, without problems.  Yahoo! & Google take care of the antivirus protection on their servers.

Every time there is an OS X or Apple Mail update, I read user problems and am glad I don't.
Occasionally OS X will presume I want to send an email via Mail, but then I have no history on that message.

Re: [iPad] public opinion

Are you new here? The public bought the story that government works for them years at conception. It's a cover story. We are more trusting than we are intelligent. as a whole. Or so it seems.

Re: [iPad] Airmail 2

Airmail is very fast, responsive and has a very small memory and CPU footprint. It works very well with Gmail, I have experienced none of the Gmail IMAP related issues that other Mac users have reported  since the Mavericks update. I have always been a webmail user, so I very much like that I can use Airmail as if it were a dedicated persistant browser window — I can see ALL of my mail without having to actually download it to my machine. I only download the messages I choose to, when I want to.

Airmail is also very customizable. I'm currently running four accounts, each with different notification styles/settings and signatures.

Re: [iPad] No subject

Thanks. I'm in communication with one of our call centers to transfer there. I still want a vacation though. I really wanna see Peru. But I'll go straight to work if I must. I've always wanted to live overseas. Or for s long time anyway. Here I come!

Thanks. We'll see. Everything is such in jumbles now. I'm hoping for the transfer. If I don't get it I'll go explore then i am thinking of going to Austin. My brother convinced me that I should follow an earlier dream of the Amazonian jungle in Peru and maybe my buddy Ben in chile. Start over. I dunno. It's like all this is literally the first day of the rest of your life begins today. I'm waxing poetic I know. It's like boom. No partner. No job. No mom. Granted I gained 3 awesome siblings but I think I'm already gone. Peru is calling. I see a pattern. Travel. Save. Travel. But that's just what it is. This just sets me free. Of course I'll go with the transfer if I get it. But if I don't. I now have a solid plan. And I'm so excited to see Iquitos, Peru along with machu pichu. I don't know if my fear of heights can get me up
There but lol Ima try!

Anyway. Thanks for listening.

I'm so glad you were able to be with your mom for a while, Kris, and I'm sure you were a great comfort to her, but I can imagine what a sad time the last few days have been for you.

I hope you find a good solution so you can go back to the Philipines.  That would be great if you could do work at home from Latin America.

I don'k know about the job I nailed the interview with Austin. Haven't gotten any from the Philipines. I really want those. I'm considering if I can do work at home from Latin anerica that may be an option. Considering taking my ex wife to Nicaragua we travelled well together.
