How is the desktop an app?   To me, its the same, with flatter icons and if you want it, parallax wallpaper

I agree with jony Ives on the UI change. It helps remove the UI and lets me focus more on content. I really like the desktop being an app like it is supposed to be.

These is only 3 of the major ones.

And as far as I know, you can't register *a* chip with anyone by the organization that provided the chip -- *not* with multiple organizations.

That would make too much sense.

I registered my dog's chip with both Home Again and the AKC.  I did report him missing once and got follow up calls from the local shelters.  It's a good system and doesn't require an app.
