Sure, They should be in iTunes on your Mac. Just sync them to your iPad. Or iPod, either one or both. I do it all the time. I usually have movies on all my idevices.

That's what I always do with a new OS to test compatibility. You need to set up a separate partition.

I have a partition on a separate Firewire disk that I use.

[iPad] Keep getting prompted for password make it stop :D

 

I have a strong password on the iPad 2, and I can't believe how many
times I get prompted for it.

If I download a few things from App Store, type password a few times.
Dozens of reasons in a 15 minute session for it to demand a password.

This can get OLD quick. How do we get it to remember our password and
quit bugging us constantly for it for relatively mundane common tasks.

I know this is an iPad group, but would appreciate any help.  Can I download and install Lion onto my Mac Air as a separate OS boot option.

A dual boot (if that is what you're asking) requires 2 partitions, one for each OS you want to boot from. Either adding a partition to an existing internal drive, or adding an external drive with the new OS.

I'm just learning Mac and what to continue to learn Snow Leopard and learn Lion as well.

[iPad] Google Maps why does it not talk and navigate?

 

My Android phone navigates and talks to me while driving...

The Google Maps in iPad even when we were online (with a mobile
hotspot) did not offer us turn-by-turn voice navigation.

What are we missing to make this work so we can use the iPad 2 as a
GPS when travelling?

At a high level:

First, you would either need a second hard drive, or you will need to split your existing hard drive into two or more partitions, using Disk Utility  (in the Utilities folder.)
Then you would need to download an application, such as Super Duper or Carbon Copy Cloner to make a clone of your original disk.
This will give you two bootable disks, both on Snow Leopard.
Then you could download Lion and upgrade one of the two disks and have two separate versions of the OS
