i'll being going with intel/apple and going thunderbolt, blows firewire 800 and usb3 out of the water

i was forced to adopt usb2 for iPods and the likes and i'l be so ready to jump this ship…..

i thought USB2 was supposed to be wicked fast on windows and that this 10gb data transfer should be painless and fast? hrrrmmmppphhh.

yea, yuotube is embedded in the appletv like netflix. it can mirror the ipad2 via iOS5 this fall. it already will mirror all video content by most apps, just not mirror the whole screen til ios5 as i understand it

And it's quite small. My Apple TV sits on top of my ComCast cable box. I love it. It plays everything in my iTunes library plus Netflix movies and of course movies that I rent or buy from the Apple store. I must confess I don't rent though. I only did it once to see how it worked.

I use Photo Transfer app to move photos from iPhone to iPad wirelessly.  It is supposed to work with a computer as well.  You need to have the app on both receiving and sending.  Works like a charm through Bluetooth.

With thousands to move it will take some time.

You can check out the app in the App Store.  Only cost a couple of bucks if I remember correctly.

Try using Dropbox to transfer photos to your computer. I'd avoid trying to transfer all 4500 photos at once.

YEAH BJ!!  Thanks so much for your very clear directions on how to export my photos from my iPad2 to my XP PC.  Once I got on the right track, I realized I needed to update the iPad2 driver to get the computer to recognize the iPad2 as a camera/scanner.  I downloaded the driver, restarted both the PC and iPad2 and it worked like a charm!!!  All photos are successfully exported.    I really appreciate your quick response and your assistance.  And, there were others with suggestions and I thank you as well.
