Check out Speck Candyshell, and JOBY is working on new iPad cases. If you have the new iPad but it is Wifi only, then iPad 2 cases will fit fine.
Which type of iPad case offers the best protection if the iPad is dropped - the hard shell case or the padded case?dolores
Best is both -- a hard shell with a silicone-like lining as a shock-absorber next to the iPad itself.
No, I don't have a brand to suggest.

If you want to become proficient at using your iPad, but don't want
to spend hours and hours battling your way through incredibly
boring manuals, or attend incredibly expensive special classes...
...Then I have the answer for you:
ANNOUNCING: "iPad Video Lessons"

Carlee, I hope you enjoy yours!
In my case, holding my iPad with the strap just makes it so much easier to manage if I don't have case or backing on it. I like that the holder swivels, too.
Give us a report once you've had a chance to try yours out.

I mainly use it to check emails while watching TV, or to play Words With Friends with a friend in CA. I do a bit of browsing the net, and I play a few games. When we go on little trips, or to the BIG city, I take it along to help find places we might want to visit.

Yeah, the thing is that there's different versions - Word with Friends (iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad) and Words with Friends HD (iPad only). That doesn't count the "free" versions of each.Ted

I have the free one in both places. Then I had to buy the iPhone version cuz I liked it. I could play that at 1x on my iPad. Still can just checked. I did however buy the iPad hd version. Technical reasons you can't go smaller. But the iPhone version installs just fine it's just not as cool as Ty had versin.So. As I said. It's an option for me. At 1x. Which looks ugly. The non ugly one is more.
~KM--\,,/(^_^)\,,/(^= I rocked this email on my iPad2 =^)---As I said, the option to have it go both places isn't available with this app, and I'm sure its not available for ALL apps as this thread seems to suggest. I'm just pointing out one example where buying an app for one device in the apple family is not available to all apple products.I have both paid for versions for Words with Friends now - phone and ipad. If I wanted ads then certainly the free version was available...

You Coukd still play the iPhone version for free!!I have my purchases set that as soon as I buy it on any device it automatically shows up on iTunes desktop iPhone and iPad. I really like it. Sometimes it's useful. Have pinterest auto install everywhere.Anyway. Once you buy an iPad version it's usually free for that version.Sometimes. Like on a pc or game system the dev upgrades and asks youTo buy again. Sane with this ecosystem
~KM\,,/ Banged Out on an iPhone4 \,,/I think this statement is very much dependent on the app. Case in point -Words with Friends.I brought the iphone edition first and played in on my iphone. Then I purchased the ipad 2 and I had to pay for it again - even wrote the developer because I didn't want to pay for the same game twice. They confirmed it was a per device fee.

I bought a used iPhone. I don't use it as a phone unless I'm using VoIP. I use Page Plus Cellular for most of my voice calls. I also use Google Voice which is perfect for using one phone number with multiple devices. I probably go a little overboard on being a tightwad but I like saving money.

iCloud, it asked me if I wanted to restore from iCloud so I said yes. I will see what it did when it is done. In retrospect I probably just should have started with iTunes.JudithPhotos: http://www.pbase.com/pooh4jvn/rootSent from my iPadTake nothing but photosLeave nothing but footprintsBreak nothing but the silenceKill nothing but time=Where do you backup to... iCloud or iTunes? My iPad has about 48 GB used, so let's just say that my backups don't go to iCloud, they go to iTunes on my computer. I get the feeling that iCloud is great for the people without a computer to backup to, but uploading and downloading over Wifi is not faster than a USB cable. From: Judith Barnett <pooh4jvn@pacbell.net>

to sync from my PC when it is done or not? It says it still has 45min of
restore before it is finished.

Apple will auto quote over. You have to copy and paste or use other manual labor as it will to modify this behavior on mail.app. Now. That said Yahoo's inline mail program www.yahoo.com may have nity options. Maybe a "pro" email client would or just another email client. There should be more than one in the app store.

I have iPad 2. Does anyone have tips for using the camera outside on a sunny day. My screen is always so dark that I cannot see what I am trying to focus on. I think I have read everything in the users guide about the camera. In the guide it looks like they have photos made on a stunny day but I cannot figure out how they get them
I have been able to get some shots early morning and late afternoon. My inside shots usually have a glare spot. Can any tell me where to learn more about this.
thanks,
Iris
