Re: [iPad] Re: App to list books you've read

There is a fairly newish (9th Jan) iPad app called My Library Lite - You could download the free version (20 books) and see if that is what you want in terms of book app.

There is an even newer app - Book Crawler Lite (25 books). As a book reader  both of these apps look OK, and like you I may well download the two of them and see if they are what I want. If they are then download the full version

Personally, LibraryThing is great, if only they did an app.

So that's the answer. :-)

I'd like to FaceTime. We could group some face times here or based upon preset topics and the likes...

This may not be what you're looking for, but at least have a look at iCollect Books Pro:

[iPad] Re: iBooks 2 & author

There is an App for the iPad to make ebooks: it is called Ebook Creator.
An alternative App is Web2Book: with this you can save text from
websites in this App and make an ebook. I just wanted that this App
also make a copy of pictures from the website.

When someone has no Mac there is also an add-on for Firefox to make
ebooks online: GrabMyBooks. With this you can search for articles on
internet, collect them and make an ebook from it.

Re: [iPad] Notes for IPad

Evernote seems to require paid subscription.
Chris Laarman

Not the Evernote I've been using for several months on my Mac, iPhone, and iPad.

OK. Well, I then wonder what the " Top in-app purchases" quotes mean:
1  One month  3.99 euro
2  One year  35.99 euro
Chris Laarman

Could the free version be only available in the US?

I suppose that is possible, but this is described, even in the Dutch store, as an *in-App purchase*.

That is, you install the FREE App, and *then* you can choose to make an IN-APP purchase, if you want to.

Re: [iPad] iBooks 2 & author

Update the current iBook and it will contain Textbook items.
iBook Author is a Mac OS app that you get from the Mac AppStore.

That is cool. I've never used Skype. I didn't know that you could Skype to an iPod Touch.

Re: [iPad] Re: Eye fi Cards

I like AirStash. Especially since it is designed for streaming high-quality sound. It is also expandable with SD Cards so there are no memory limits and there are no file type limits so I can carry my documents and PowerPoint files. The device contains a built-in WiFi router so it does not depend upon an existing WiFi connection.

I can shoot tethered to my iPad but I want to shoot without being tethered. Somewhere there is NO Wi-Fi and shoot RAW. I am willing to buy and adapter and give the Eye Fi a try for my D200. I am never in a WiFi spot when shooting.
