[iPad] iPhone timeout

 


My 6+ has been timing out (settings, display and brightness, auto-lock) at either 30 or 60 seconds, although I've had it set at both 2 and 5 minutes. I finally turned auto-lock off and all's well. But now I have to turn off the screen manually after every use.

Low Power is off. Battery has a good charge.

Anyone else have something like this? I've considered wiping memory and re-loading everything from scratch, but that's an awfully big time sink, and I'll probably not do it.

Good news, although I suppose that's something they'll always do.

I've been shopping for a top-notch compact camera and have found chaos in the marketplace. It's a continual mad race to add more features and more models. When you think that all there is to a camera is a hole to admit light and a sensitive surface to record it, this is crazy. But it's emblematic of where we are with tech. It's a never-ending frenzy, and it seems it will continue forever.

My cell phone plan costs $30 a month. My internet is $50.  I can't afford to go higher on my monthlies just to listen to music when I walk to the store

The price estimates are just that until the new phones are actually announced.  These estimates don't especially surprise me though because the 256GB iPhone 7+ is $969.  I plan to buy the new one if I can possibly afford it.

My last iPhone was a grand and it wasn't even the top model and I didn't even have Apple care. $1400 is what I could have spent on an iPhone 7s+ with AppleCare and a case. So people are already paying it. I'd pay it for a second gen

There has to be something totally unique and compelling about the iPhone to get me to pay $1400 for it. Regina scanning and 3-D imaging isn't it. That's just way too much, in my opinion. OLED isn't even worth it at that price.
