Patti, I'm sorry you've had so many problems with your iPhone 5S. I've had one about a year (I'm always behind a generation or two since I don't usually need every latest bell and whistle and I save a lot that way). I've had very good luck with it, now on iOS 8.4.1 without any of your issues. We're looking at a 5S or 6 for my son now to replace his 4S which has developed a number of problems with battery sensing, On/Off switch malfunctions and other things. Since you went as far as an Apple Store consult (with a pretty appalling response), I guess a new 6 or 6S would be good for you. I hope you have better luck and enjoy your new phone.
