When I bought my original iPad, I bought a screen protector and after
making sure that the iPad worked properly, I installed the screen
protector and was having a great time using it until I realized that the
original clarity of the screen wasn't as great as I remembered it. I
removed the screen protector, got the glorious screen back and haven't
had a screen protector on it since. And when I bought my new iPad4, I
have kept that gorgeous retina display bare and looking wonderful.
For a case I use the Targus Versavue because it's got a built-in stand
and allows the iPad to rotate so that it can be either portrait or
landscape mode while standing up.
My wife also just bought the same Targus Versavue to use with her iPad2
because of the ability to rotate the iPad without having to remove it
from the case.
I bought a Ful shoulder bag at Staples, which holds the iPad in the
Targus in the Versavue very nicely in a separate padded compartment and
has a larger compartment to hold lots of stuff, as well as smaller
compartments which hold charger, cables, earbuds and other iPad
accessories, and it has a nice shoulder strap.
