Hmm. If I want it quiet, I want it quiet. I've never needed to mute the system sounds without muting the rest, too. Interesting concept. Wonder how many people need that feature? Sometimes we fall into the pattern of thinking that the way we use it is the way everyone else uses it too. I like hearing how other people use their iPads - it gives interesting perspective.
