I don't go into settings to adjust volume and brightness. I quickly double tap the menu button, then flick to scroll to the left and there are the controls. With my apple case on, I found it hard to do the buttons on the side (arthritic hands) and this is much easier for me and nearly as quick. Jackie In a message dated 12/3/2010 11:55:35 A.M.
