Thank you Jackie !    I too find the new way better for me. I have arthritic hands, neuropthy & recovering from bi-lateral carpal tunnel surgery. That is why I use DragonDictate on my laptop.  ;-)

This is being typed using Dragon Dictate.  Dragon Dictate allows you to talk and the computer to type your words as you speak. Any arrows, I will blame on the soft wear. ;-)

I don't go into settings to adjust volume and brightness.  I quickly double tap the menu button, then flick to scroll to the left and there are the controls.  With my apple case on, I found it hard to do the buttons on the side (arthritic hands) and this is much easier for me and nearly as quick.
